Hyatt Place Knoxville / Downtown

Absolutely recommend this hotel. We stayed here the night of our wedding reception. When we checked in, they noticed my husband holding my wedding dress and asked if we were getting married. When we said yes she got so exited and immediately looked to upgrade us. They gave us a huge room, with a great view right on Gay Street. She also added free breakfast for the following morning. We were thrilled. We went out for a bit and when we returned to start getting ready, a bottle of Prosecco on ice and a handwritten card had been put in the room. I could’ve cried. Later on, the late night front desk staff knew exactly who we were, and when we picked up our car from the valet the next morning he congratulated us as well. It’s been a long time since we’ve had such personalized service. We’re local to the greater Knoxville area and have already decided anytime we want a staycation downtown, we’ll be coming back here. I was in Knoxville for a VOLS game and some business meetings, and decided to eat at the Hyatt Place Knoxville / Downtown. The hotel itself looked great — clean, professional, and right in the heart of the city — but what really stood out to me was the valet service, specifically Brennan. As I was arriving, my grandmother, who came along for the trip, lost her footing near the entrance. Before I could even react, Brennan was there in seconds — calm, professional, and genuinely caring. He helped her to her feet, made sure she was okay, and handled the entire situation with grace and composure. Afterward, he assisted with our luggage and ensured my car was parked safely and promptly. As a business executive, I value punctuality, professionalism, and pride in one’s work — all of which Brennan embodies. He’s not just another valet; he’s a professional who takes his craft seriously. This is how he puts food on the table, and it shows. If the Hyatt knows what’s good for them, they’ll make sure to keep him around — people like Brennan elevate the entire guest experience.

Beautiful hotel with excellent location. Though it's a Hyatt Place, it feels more like a boutique hotel. Location is excellent with a nice rooftop restaurant/bar. Well-maintained property with friendly staff. Pro-tip: Skipper the $49 valet parking and self park in the city garage behind the hotel, which cost $7 a day.

Stayed for a weekend getaway. Had a great stay, staff was super friendly. Only issue was the AC was loud. We didn't bother to ask to switch rooms but when we did mention they were fast to make things right. We will definitely use them the next time around to Knoxville. Vallet parking worked smoothly, breakfast was ok. Nothing special, im not a fan of industry eggs from cartons.

This is a great hotel in a great spot. The staff was amazing during my stay and the room was clean and neat. Hyatt does a great job of consistency with their Hyatt place properties but this one is definitely nicer.

This hotel was wonderful. The customer service was excellent. Rooms were clean. Beds very comfortable. The downtown location was perfect. With a short walk to Market Square where there were many dining options and a beautiful park. The rooftop bar was well designed and had amazing 360 views. The breakfast was self service, but had many delicious foods and plenty for folks with food sensitivity. We'll definitely be back.

Great location adjacent to market square, Tennessee theater and Bijou theater. Love the rooms and the breakfast is good. If you don't want valet parking, public parking very convenient right behind the hotel is reasonable and free on weekends. Stayed 4-5 times and always come back.

The rooms were pristine and comfortable. The associates at the front desk were friendly and helpful on dinner recommendations. Our valets were kind and polite. We love the location. Being next door to the Tennessee theatre was so convenient. Walking within the city on Gay Street and Market Square was easy and enjoyable. We also enjoyed the atmosphere, drinks and service at the rooftop lounge.
